CLEAN,
GREEN POWER FOR CONGREGATIONS: HERE & NOW
Our
mission : to help faith communities be faithful stewards of life on
Earth
Our
question : where does our electricity come from and what are the impacts
of those sources?
Our
goal : to help religious communities become more aware of and more efficient
in their use of energy, and to promote “green” (clean, renewable) energy
among them.
Companies
that produce “green” renewable power are offering products in the state
that we can support through our homes and congregations. Each option
is different, allowing us to choose to support the new green product
that is most meaningful and concrete to us. Please plan to join us as
representatives from these companies bring us up to date about these
options and inform us as to how we can participate.
Representatives
from some of the 8 congregations in Connecticut that have already taken
this step will be on hand to discuss why and how they have taken this
step.
