The Interreligious Eco-Justice
Network (IREJN) will provide you with a panel of religious and environmental
experts to explain the benefits of using renewable - or "green"
- power in our faith communities, our homes, our schools and our
communities. The panel will be designed to suit your community.
It could consist of four to five of the following members:
- A Interreligious Eco-Justice Network Representative - moderators of the panel.
- A Renewables expert will explain "renewables" and demonstrate the benefits of converting to green energy.
- An Air Quality expert will bring you up to date on air quality and health issues related to power generation and Connecticut's incinerators.
- A Conservation expert on energy conservation in a non-profit environment.
- A Religious Leader - Clergy or lay laity who will speak about their faith communities experience with signing up for green, renewable electricity.
- A Legislative expert will let us know what bills are coming up in Connecticut and how you can get involved.
As the hosting community we ask for your assistance in providing:
- A space large enough to set 50 people comfortably and have room for 2 display tables.
- Help in identifying religious communities and their leadership in your surrounding area.
- Help in promoting the event in your faith community bulletins and local area papers.
- Provide light refreshments, tea, coffee and juice for the actual event.
