Our volunteers are a vital part of our organization. Thank you to our many amazing volunteers!

Volunteers have contributed at events:
  • Manned the reception desk
  • Distributed information
  • Helped participants find their way to a room
  • Moderated panels
  • Set the tables for our meals
  • Set up audio equipment
And behind the scenes:
  • Designed letterhead, brochures, flyers and other publicity
  • Distributed brochures, flyers and other publicity
  • Picked up and delivered resources
  • Assisted with large mailings
Some of our truly creative volunteers have helped in their own unique way by:
  • Creating the "Clean Air Choir"
  • Writing educational materials for their faith group
  • Creating links between IREJN and aligned groups
  • Representing their faith community on the Earth Ministries Leadership Team
  • Creating outdoor education days for their faith community
  • Writing editorials about pressing issues

Audrey Scotti is a member of Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut Committee on the Environment.  She has been a regular volunteer with the Interreligious Eco-Justice Network (IREJN) for many years.   Audrey has done everything from initiate and co-coordinate events such as our Eagle Watch Boat Trip, to cutting up name tags for a You Have The Power panel.  Her willingness to get in and do whatever needs to be done has made her a valuable member of IREJN.  Audrey represents her community on IREJN Earth Ministry Leadership Team and was instrumental in getting her Church to switch to 'green, clean, renewable' energy sources.

Theresa Speare is a member of Asylum Hill Community Church.  She has had a commitment to social concerns for many years.  She represents her community on Interreligious Eco-Justice Networks (IREJN) Earth Ministry Leadership Team and has started an Earth Ministry committee at Asylum Hill.  The committee sponsored an adult education lecture by The Reverand Tom Carr in April and  plans a series of programs in the fall of 2003.

Brooke Suter is a professional environmental activist.  She is the Connecticut Director of Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund, one of the oldest and most successful citizen action agencies in Connecticut. Brooke is well informed, a terrific speaker and a nationally famed community organizer. Besides being a tremendous source of action ideas for us, Brooke often works with Interreligious Eco-Justice Network (IREJN) as a speaker at our events.
