Rev. Jean-Fritz Guerrier is a multidisciplinary executive leader with more than two decades of experience in organizational development, strategic planning, finance, management, human resources, higher education, and nonprofit governance. A former Fulbright and Sengel Scholar and a graduate of Yale University, he is widely recognized for strengthening institutions, modernizing organizational systems, and building work environments where staff feel valued, supported, and able to excel.
Rev. Guerrier currently serves as the Pastor and Executive Leader of Flanders Baptist and Community Church in Connecticut, where he is involved in all administrative, financial, managerial, and human-resources functions. His leadership emphasizes transparency, accountability, fair practices, and strong organizational communication. He also serves as the Moderator (President) of the Stonington Union New London (SUNL) Association, where he provides strategic leadership and governance support to churches across the region.
Previously, Rev. Guerrier served as Human Resources Director for Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services (IRIS), a major human-service nonprofit. In that role, he modernized HR systems, strengthened hiring and onboarding practices, developed consistent personnel policies, improved employee integration, and enhanced organizational trust through clear communication and effective supervisor training. Moreover, he was a board member for several charter schools in Florida.
Rev. Guerrier also brings significant executive operational experience from his work overseas, where he served as Director of Operations for a major educational and community-service institution. In that capacity, he oversaw human resources, finance, operations, staff management, and strategic planning while directing large budgets and coordinating complex organizational systems. Earlier in his career, he worked in the US banking sector with JPMorgan Chase, where he was nationally recognized for excellence in client service, team leadership, and operational performance.
In the field of higher education, Rev. Guerrier has served as a finance professor and as the Faculty Dean of a College of Business overseas, where he led faculty, guided curriculum redesign, managed budgets, and contributed to institutional governance and long-term planning. His academic background also includes roles in university administration and program development.
As a consultant, Rev. Guerrier has advised municipalities, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations on financial management, organizational structure, governance best practices, and sustainable growth strategies. His leadership and speaking engagements have taken him to numerous states and international settings, where he has trained leaders and contributed to mission-centered organizational renewal.
Deeply committed to compassionate service, Rev. Guerrier volunteers regularly in healthcare environments at Bride Brook Rehabilitation Center and Crescent Point Assisted Living & Hospice located in CT, offering support, companionship, and group engagement to residents in long-term and end-of-life care.
He holds an MBA from Southern Illinois University, a Master of Divinity from Yale University, and a Master of Arts from Trinity International University. Rev. Guerrier is fluent in French and has high reading proficiency in Spanish.
